What Consumers can’t “Opt-Out” of

Consumers may not elect to “Opt out” of the GLBA (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) “Privacy Notice” if any of the following are applicable:

  • Consumer’s information that is shared with those providing priority service to the Financial Institution.
  • Marketing of products or services for the Financial Institution. This is why Consumers receive marketing material from unknown financial sources, even when they place themselves on a “Non-Marketing List.
  • When the information is deemed legally required.
