GLBA and FTC Safeguards Rule

In this Course, we will review the Original and “Revised” versions of the “FTC Safeguards Rule,” as contained within the provisions of the Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA)
We will cover how Dealerships can comply with the provisions of the GLBA mandate regarding the “Privacy Notice.”

We will review Section 216 of the FACT Act and the FTC’s accompanying regulatory mandates that requires federal agencies, ranging from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), to the Federal Reserve Board (Reserve Board), to “adopt policies and procedures to “Safeguard” Consumer information.

We will review how Dealerships can adopt Policies and Procedures in order to ensure compliance with the myriad of requirements contained within these regulatory mandates. Primarily information contained within the “Original” and “Revised” FTC’s Safeguards Rule.
